Selected studies and models for Coromandel screens with gold leaf
This is a project I have been working on and thinking over for some time and I have made many small studies along with small versions of hinged coromandel style screeens. I settled on a bifold construction for a more modern, minimalist look. I now have a full scale prototype in my Paris studio (170 cm x 330 cm) with it’s first coat of primer. I am currently deliberating on which two of the 12 completed studies for this first of many screens to come.
