Landscape archive
My first works were inspired by an abiding love affair with cinema and the motifs that visual genre has fed me since watching films with my family throughout my youth. We would regularly go to the city on a weekend and watch 2 movies with lunch in Chinatown in between. When I began painting later in life, those early cinematic motifs combined with exploring the Tasmanian landscape set my course as a landscape painter. Like any Grand Amore, landscape is a theme I return to again and again no matter how far I roam, with the never-ending beauty of trees and the sky constantly beckoning me back. Here follows a selection from the archives in no particular order
